Consult our security centre

Welcome to the Adeux Safety Center.

How can we best guarantee people’s safety? This is the question we are asked most often, and it’s true that it’s a very sensitive subject.

Of course, 100% safety doesn’t exist, but the more precautions we take, the better.

At Adeux, we believe that everyone deserves to experience authentic and fulfilling encounters. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. This center is here to support you at every stage of your journey, providing practical advice to help you navigate our platform and beyond with complete peace of mind.

  1. Protect Your Personal Information

Trust is built step by step. For your first interactions, focus on getting to know the other person’s personality.

  • Stay on the platform: Use Adeux’s internal messaging system for all your initial exchanges. Avoid sharing your personal phone number, email address, or social media accounts too quickly.

We recommend waiting six months before sharing your personal phone number or address with someone you met on the site, even after meeting in person. This is crucial!

  • Be discreet about details: Avoid disclosing information such as your exact address, your usual workplace, or details about your daily routine. You can say “I work downtown” instead of naming your company.
  1. Take Your Time and Listen to Your Intuition

A great connection doesn’t need to be rushed.

  • A messaging system that adapts to you: Feel free to use the voice or video features built into our messaging system to get to know each other better in a controlled environment before meeting in person. Communicate on the site for as long as possible, even to arrange a meeting with someone you met there. • Your intuition is your best guide: If a conversation makes you uncomfortable, if you feel pressured, or if something seems “too good to be true,” don’t hesitate to pause, ask questions, or report the profile. Your comfort is paramount.

Don’t hesitate to block and report anyone who is malicious, belittling, insulting, or asks you for money. They will be blocked and banned from the site.

  1. Plan Your First Date Safely

The first date is an exciting step! To ensure it remains a positive memory, follow these tips.

  • Choose a public and accessible location: A café, a park, a museum… Opt for a place you know and that suits your needs (accessibility, quietness, etc.). At Adeux, we encourage our members to specify the accessibility criteria of a meeting place.
  • Inform a friend or family member: Before leaving, tell a trusted friend or family member about your date. Give them the name and photo of the person you’re meeting and the location. Send them a short message when you arrive and when you leave.
  • Take control of your transportation: Use your own vehicle or a taxi/ride-hailing service. Avoid being driven home on the first date.
  • Stay sober: Consuming alcohol or other substances can impair your judgment and make you vulnerable. Remain in control of your faculties.
  1. For People with Accompaniment

If you are usually accompanied by a caregiver, home health aide, or family member:

  • Discuss this beforehand: It can be reassuring to inform the person you are meeting with that you may be accompanied for part or all of the appointment.
  • Your companion is your ally: They can be present remotely, at a nearby table for example, to ensure your privacy while also looking after your safety.
  • For your first appointment, bring someone you trust (a friend, teacher, or relative). NEVER go alone. This is very important.
  1. Report Inappropriate Behavior

Our community is built on respect and kindness. Help us maintain it.

  • Report any behavior that makes you uncomfortable: Suspicious profiles, inappropriate messages, insults, threats, attempted fraud, or violations of your boundaries.
  • Our moderation team is here to listen: Every report is taken seriously, reviewed confidentially, and may lead to the blocking of the member in question.
